Bio

The designer creates furniture and objects from mirrors and stones sourced from demolition sites or discarded items. She collects, transforms and combines them with wood offcuts or locally grown wood.

Originally from Belgium, Ariane began her career in Brooklyn, where she founded her design studio in 2014. In 2018, she returned to Brussels and specialised in sustainable design and digital tools.

Augusta

Ariane van Dievoet, specialised in circular design, presents the Augusta bench, a piece made from Sonian oak wood and carefully selected pieces of discarded stone and marble. This is Ariane van Dievoet’s speciality: combining traditional assembly methods with digital technologies to upgrade salvaged materials by taking into account the properties of the offcuts she collects.

The roundness of the local oak complements the clean lines of the stone, recut to fit their new purpose.
