Bio

Brussels-born designer Marina Bautier trained at the Buckinghamshire Chiltern University in High Wycombe, an English historical furniture town. Following her studies, she returned to Belgium and established her practice in 2004. She has since worked for national and international companies, such as Swedese (SE), Case (UK), Idée (JP), Stattmann Neue Moebel (DE) and Ligne Roset (FR).

After 10 years of experience in the furniture industry, the ambition to set up her own brand alongside her design practice grew stronger. Seeing the product from conception to its retail context -and putting together an entire collection- were key incentives to materialise her wish.

Working towards well-made and well thought-out furniture, she launched her eponymous brand Bautier in May 2013. The family of products keeps growing and evolving alongside Marina’s vision of craftsmanship and design within the furniture field.
