Bio

Related to the architectural and construction sphere, DesignWithGenius or dwg take their name from the file extension “.dwg” of the design software Autodesk AutoCAD® (as for the “.jpeg” for pictures or the “.xls” from Microsoft™ Excel).

In the form of a student collective, dwg started in 2009 with temporary installations during public events followed by tailor-made furniture. Eager to learn, to follow training programs and to increase their experience, this group of friends trained in carpentry, worked as architects for the Ateliers Jean Nouvel (FR), Bureau Dethier Architecture, Greisch, Artau,… and finally joined forces in 2016 to found “DesignWithGenius SPRL”.

THE_LAST_SUPPER.DWG

Large dining table to share laughter, laughter, tears, wine, hot chocolate, endless meals, quick breakfasts... lives, all comfortably seated on large benches. Its design is the result of a work of optimization of cuttings and transformations of standard panels in order to reach the ZERO falls. The result is a design with pure lines for a large table that can reach 3.4m when equipped with its extensions. A unique treatment studied with our supplier gives the fir a stable opaline colour, counterbalancing the natural yellowing of the fir.
