Bio

As a Belgian industrial designer and founder of FINKR Design Studio in Belgium, Florian Martin devotes his work to a rigorously functionalist approach, focusing on simplification and rationalization of craft / industrial processes, while considering material constraints as perpetual source of innovation. The multidisciplinary studio was born in 2023 and offers product design development and interior design for brands, company, designers and architects.

Since 2016, Darmes has developed at the intersection of a lamp’s expected functional materiality and a work of art’s reflexive effect.

Doppler

The Doppler luminaires emerged from an intention to resolve a technical challenge from metal spinning process. After a series of tests and in-depth explorations with our QC production partners, we succeeded in unveiling and understanding a new dimension of this artisanal process.

In collaboration with Studio D'Armes based near Montreal, we present this first lighting collection illustrating our apprenticeships. Doppler is available in 4 different configurations, offering a variety of spatial arrangements to suit your interiors. Each Doppler head can be rotated during placement to select the best lighting angle. The suspension model remains adjustable after mounting.
