Frederik Delbart, who was born in 1988, is an Antwerp-based designer and creative director active in furniture, lighting and product design. Voted Belgian designer of the Year in 2018, Frederik Delbart stands out for his consistency in challenging the process of creation, often with materials like stone, wood, glass or metal. The designer -and creative director- is hands-on through every step of the creative process, always with an eye on sustainability, and an open mind when it comes to ever evolving technology and time honoured craftsmanship.
Bio
It all culminates in objects that equally honour their users, makers and materials, an outlook that has garnered awards from the likes of Interieur Kortrijk, Knack Weekend, LeVif Weekend, the Designmuseum Gent and CID Grand Hornu. Frederik Delbart works both as a signature designer for brands, and for private clients with his own editions.
