Ipanema

Ipanema is the first lamp of the collection "The urge to see the world". The project was inspired, during the first lockdown in 2020, by the song “Girl from Ipanema”, interpreted by Astrud Gilberto and Stan Gets (1965). Its design was inspired by the extra-large beach’s straw-hat and a strong desire of evasion…

The lamp is made of two laser-cut 0,5mm raw aluminum sheets. It is then vigorously scratched and waxed by hand to create a unique imprint.
