Jeffrey Huyghe

With a passion for engineering, Jeffrey Huyghe likes to experiment with geometric shapes and dynamic interactions. This translates into an intriguing tension, through which minimalism and materialisation meet state-of-the-art engineering. Examples of his work are award-winning architectural lighting designs Semih and Marbul for Modular Lighting Instruments, whereby complex hidden rotation systems are disguised as pure designs. The success of these -and other lighting concepts- resulted in a long-term collaboration within Modular Lighting Instruments, where he now works as Art Director.

Bio

He launched his own studio in 2018, allowing him to further challenge the boundaries of the interactions between materials and technology, in addition to lighting. Huyghe has also collaborated with the likes of Per/Use, XL Boom and Quincalux.
