Bio

Known for favouring unusual materials, as well as the sculptural and monumental qualities of his pieces, he takes mundane objects and transforms them into something extraordinary, paying special attention to form, function and detail. His innovative approach sets him apart from others, and has earned him a reputation for creating truly unique and memorable objects, which often hover between art and functionality, blurring the lines between the two and challenging the viewer’s expectations.

One of the main themes within Scarc.riaux’s approach is the concept of taboo. He creates objects and installations that explore the social, cultural, economic, and physical aspects of taboo subjects. Through this investigation, Scarc.riaux aims to create a dialogue between his work and the viewer, encouraging contemplation and discussion of the subject, while tackling often controversial topics in a thought-provoking way.
