Lookback on Collectible fair

The 6th edition of the Collectible fair, dedicated to 21st-century collectible design, brought together a curated selection of international galleries, designers, and collectors at Tour&Taxis in Brussels.

From 9 to 12 March, the fair greeted over a 100 exhibitors from 25 countries including pioneering galleries, leading and emerging designers and architectural practices showcasing a variety of unique design techniques, materials and objects which did not shy away from aesthetic and functional experimentation.

Collectible showcases each year unique and limited-edition contemporary design pieces, ranging from furniture and lighting to textiles and ceramics. For this edition, the fair gave special attention to unusual and innovative materials (high-tech, bio-material, recycled material or unique hand-made artisan technique) created by designers for architects.

Hosting an international selection of designers and galleries, Belgian design remains well represented. Many of them have already been presented by Belgium is Design on various occasions.

Highlight on this new generation of designers. Before exhibiting at Collectible, many of them took part in SaloneSatellite with Belgium is Design over the last years.
