This trade fair brings together those who conceive, transform and manufacture the materials of today and tomorrow. Manufacturers, producers, craftspeople, designers and publishers meet architects, interior designers, decorators, luxury brands and key players in contemporary design. This trade event has established itself as the benchmark for a discerning and influential professional audience seeking innovation, expertise and inspiring solutions.

Belgium is Design is a partner of the event aiming to give more visibility to Belgian exhibitors.

A CARTE BLANCHE TO ZAVENTEM ATELIERS

For les Rendez-vous de la Matière, Zaventem Ateliers brings twelve independent practices in a carte blanche for the materials library. Their meeting point is matter: its resistance, its possibilities, and what happens when it passes through the hands of a maker.

Set in a repurposed paper factory near Brussels, Zaventem Ateliers provides a framework for independent ateliers. Each has its own rhythm, tools and obsessions. Working alongside one another creates room for friction, exchange and unexpected connections, while leaving each practice free to follow its own direction. The presentation in Paris carries this spirit beyond the building’s walls. Materials, samples and objects speak in different languages. Their proximity creates tensions and echoes, opening conversations between disciplines and ways of making. What emerges is a shared commitment to process, to taking time, and to making things with hands and meaning.

Twelve distinct voices come together in a presentation shaped by their differences and by the possibilities of working in proximity.

Participating studios are : Aurélie Lanoiselée, Basile Boon, Charles Schambourg by Nacarat, Home Sails, Mathilde Wittock / MWO, Pascale Risbourg, Precious Peels, REMWOL, Roxane Lahidji, Studio Lionel Jadot x Airbus, Thibault Huguet and Xavier Servas.
